Title: Sec8 Documentation Specialist

Description of Company:
Job Duties: Federal Regulations as they relate to Section 8 Housing programs. Maintain required reports and statistics. Prepare reports on a monthly and annual basis, as required. Facilitate and mediate communication with assigned clients and landlords, as needed. Negotiate with landlords to promote de-concentration of Section 8 Voucher holders. Respond to inquires, phone calls, correspondence, and e-mail in a timely and responsive manner. Perform program orientations to educate and inform applicants of program requirements and responsibilities
Job Experience: Must have strong experience with sec 8 paperwork and compliance. The ability to communicate with various levels of internal personnel as well as outside asset managers, governmental oversight staff, and investment partners. Detail-oriented approach to compliance. Self-motivated with ability to work independently Multi-family Housing experience is strongly preferred Experience with Fair Housing. Knowledge of compliance under the security guidelines that are governed by HUD/IRS.

Job Duties: Candidate will be working with several maintenance managers and regional managers. Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to Regional Managers. Submitting and checking all Sec8 documentation, training of staff members. Posting rent, checking on units. Marketing and resident relation management such as appreciation days.
Job Experience: Previous experience managing a Section 8/Tax credit property is highly preferred. Candidate must be reliable reliable, consistent and firm. Strong professional presence is a must. Computer skills including Yardi is required. Marketing skills. Vendor relations and vendor set up experience. Candidate must have valid Drivers License and transportation. There will be a wage increase after 50 days.
